Winter PromWinter Prom, also know as the Winter Formal, is like a preparation and a warm up for the real Prom Dance, with the excitement of getting a fancy dress or a tuxedo, and more important yet, a “date”. For the students that are not in the Senior years, this is much like Prom. Students from all grades dress up in formal attire (fancy formal gowns and tuxedos) to have a fun and a wonderful evening dancing and laughing. Is the very first Formal Dance for the freshmen. Everybody talks about it with enthusiasm for months. For senior students is a glimpse of how Prom is going to be. Winter Formal is a very exciting event for the whole school. December is generally the time of the year for the Winter Formal, just before the Holiday season. Even though everybody is welcome to the Winter Formal, this dance is mostly seen as a version of Prom for the junior students. The girls will dress up in formal evening gowns made of satin and organza while the boys will showcase tuxedos with vests or cummerbunds, all in all, is the first “Black Tie” event for the young student. Winter Formal Dance is a bit more formal than Homecoming, as the music is more subtle and the student is supposed to spend the evening with his/her date. Even though some students attend as a group, having a “date” makes the evening more enjoyable. Being the first Formal Dance for many, the Winter Formal also shows how expensive can get to go to the real Prom. Luxurious evening gowns and tuxedos don’t come cheap. That’s why is advisable to try to borrow the evening gown form a friend, talk to mom into making the hairdo and getting Dad to drive the family car to the dance…… but if you do not want Daddy to drop you at the dance, then the Limo is the way out. Winter Formal is fun, and you can look like a Princess in one of our dresses… |
